Miss Risktaker gave birth to a huge filly by Cash Hall (NY) at 11:57 p.m. on
Tuesday, April 8.  According to the USTA Web site, this the same birthday as
driver John Campbell and equine standouts Armbro Flight, Delmonica Hanover,
and Super Bowl.  The date appears to produce talent.  Her sister is racing in
stake events for the Don Swick Stable, so we have high hopes for this youngster.
Pictures should be available soon!
Salagadoola gave birth to an active colt by Cincinnati Kid (IN) at 4:07 a.m. on
Saturday, May 10.  She went into labor and quickly delivered him.  This is the first
foal we have gotten from the mare.  If future foals are as correct as this guy, she
will make a name for herself as a great dam.
Southwind Felician was the final mare due to foal.  After years of foaling mares
and a smooth spring, disaster struck.  When "Red" went into labor on May 26,
the foal had not turned and was too large for her to deliver.  We ended up losing
a beautiful Tom Ridge filly and sending the mare to Rood & Riddle Equine
Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, for a C-Section.  She is now home and
recovering.  We are thankful to have not lost her as well.  Thank you to Dr. Amy
Youngblood, DVM & Jesse McPike, as well as everyone at Rood & Riddle.
